The Mercer Legacy Club
The Mercer Legacy Club was established to recognize alumni and friends who demonstrate outstanding philanthropy by remembering Mercer University through bequests in their estates. These donors selflessly invest in Mercer excellence—and that of future generations of Bears—by funding everything from student scholarship to lifelong research. These extraordinary gifts deserve our highest recognition and appreciation.
How to join
The following types of commitments qualify you for membership in The Mercer Legacy Club:
- A bequest or provision in your will or revocable trust
- A life-income gift that names Mercer University as the remainder beneficiary, such as a charitable remainder trust
- A charitable lead trust that provides income to Mercer University for a donor’s lifetime or a term of years
- A gift of assignment of qualified retirement-plan assets, such as an IRA, 401 (k), or 403 (b)
- A gift of life insurance
Please let us know
The Mercer Legacy Club exists so that we may thank and celebrate those donors who have planned a future gift to Mercer. Even if you wish to remain anonymous to the public, we would be honored to know if you have made a planned gift so that we may thank you today for your gift tomorrow. Of course, we understand how very personal planned gifts are, and we will respectfully honor your desire to remain anonymous.
